Unbridled Bridesmaids
When choosing your bridesmaids, you choose your closest circle of girl friends, right? The kind of girls that have been with you through thick and thin and know your greatest and worst moments?
Then why punish your leading ladies by making them wear terrible bridesmaid dresses? It is an American bridal phenomenon to flock to “wedding stores” of all kinds to purchase these strange dresses–ones with weird shapes, thick fabric, and solid colors. And to add injury to insult, most brides make their bridesmaids pay for this little treasure that she affirms “you can always wear again!”

Brides across America: unbridle yourselves! Who said you have to confine yourself and your best buds this way? After all, when you think of your favorite actresses, singers, movie stars, and other style divas, are you inspired by their style because they confine themselves this way? On the contrary, you admire them because they choose to go bold, be different, and express themselves with what they wear! Here are a few tips to help you unbridle yourself and your maids:

Play with Patterns.
Who said your bridesmaid dresses had to be solid colored? Instead, look for dresses with fresh color palettes and bold patterns. Then, if you absolutely need a solid color to break up that boldness, choose a chunky red belt and red peep-toe heels to accent their attire. Trust me, this is something they really will wear again!

Mix Up Styles
Consider having each bridesmaid choose their own style of dress in one color. After all, every bridesmaid is created differently and she knows better than you do what looks best on her body type. There’s only one rule: the girls are not allowed to shop bridesmaid brands!

Work Within A Palette
Choose a color palate and have bridesmaids choose their own dresses in that color palette. This way, you don’t have to fret about if allof their colors match perfectly. Instead, they will all seem as if they were picked together while allowing each bridesmaid to express themselves differently.

Texture, Texture, Texture.
Choose dresses with lots of texture–the look is more interesting and they are generally a better fit! Consider dresses with ruffles, sleeves, straps, lace, rosettes, pleats, and other fantastic design elements.
