Rollercoaster of Love
If there is one part of our wedding day we do not dream of, it is undoubtedly the accompanying stress. It can be a test figuring out how to include romance, beauty, your six year old cousins, your favorite color (blue), his favorite (black), and location, location, location!

Recently The Shoppe was included in what may actually be my dream wedding: a celebration at Denver’s Lakeside Amusement Park. Imagine the nostalgia of reigning in your joy at your old childhood stomping grounds. Blinking lights direct you onto retro rides. Costumed barkers demanding your attention and dime. A pavillion of pink, yellow, and blue cupcakes stacked high upon picnic tables. Candy in old mason jars adorning plaid tablecloths. Barbecued catering filling the air with those familiar scents.

The soundtrack? The antiquated rumble and whoosh of the Cyclone coaster. Everyone running about, not just as guests, but as patrons jostling about to be first in line–and not for the buffet line. The bride, lost in the sea of her veil, as her bumper boat splashes her new mother. Hands still sticky from BBQ and cakes, reverberations from the Wild Chipmunk leaving shakes, the night ending with a childlike state of exhaustion.

Lakeside is just one of the many distinctive options Colorado offers for your wedding venue. Among the number are Casa Bonita with its cliff divers and kitschy interiors; the power of the red rock monoliths which stretch from Morrison as far south as Colorado Springs; the historic and charming Cliff House mansion at Pike’s Peak in Manitou Springs; the simple beauty of outdoor ceremonies in gorgeous mountain surroundings; even the floral scenery of the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Wherever you have your celebration, The Shoppe loves being a part of this new wave of adventurous, out of the box weddings. So where is the most memorable or unique place you have ever been a part of a wedding? Share your responses below!
