It’s Hip to Be Square

Why settle for what’s old–bring in some new looks at your wedding with fun square shapes!

Rental companies have square cocktail tables and square 4’ or even 5’ dining tables, giving events a more art deco look and adding some “edge” to previous romantic styles. Whether it’s square leather ottomans, square leather chairs and couches to create a chic lounge feel, or square cabaret tables, these new shapes are it for your special day.

But square doesn’t stop there–at Continental “Divine” we’ve incorporated this trend into our catering wares. Square, black 7″ plastic disposable plates are chic and affordable. Couples love the zest they add to their event and guests enjoy seeing something new. (And we have to admit, caterers love the easy clean up.) They are a great option for adding class and style to your food service without having to pay for the plain old circular white china plates.

Of course, we’ve also taken this look into our kitchen. Portobello mushrooms are delicious in this puff pastry shell, warm and cozy with herbs, red peppers and Monterey Jack and goat cheese. Certified angus sirloin of beef in a petite (square) bite, served with a touch of creamy horseradish on a small (square) serviette. Elsewhere, refreshing avocado and cucumber shooters laced with a French vinaigrette and are presented in square shot glasses.
